Meet Katherine
My name is Katherine, I am a yoga therapist and also a yoga teacher.
I fell in love with yoga while I was working as a software engineer. I found that yoga helped me to relax and balance whilst I was trying to meet the demands of working and looking after my family. Especially with my back problem, practicing yoga regularly kept my back strong and free of pain. Yoga helped me maintain energy in life and eventually became a part of my lifestyle.
I bring my caring nature into both my yoga therapy and teaching. I am passionate about health and wellbeing especially for seniors (50 and over). I believe strongly that as we age, our bodies and minds do not have to deteriorate so rapidly, and a consistent yoga practice allows us to keep our ‘yoga glow’ through all stages of life. Understanding and compassion towards my senior student needs is important in my teaching.
I recognise each of us are individuals and our bodies have different needs at different stages of life. Yoga therapy empowers individuals with specific needs, assists in a safe home practice and ultimately to reduces suffering to bring back vitality in life.
